New Delhi:  Well ahead  of the ninth International Day of Yoga on June 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that yoga has grown in popularity around the world.

He posted a video on Twitter showing various details and benefits of yoga. The video starts with Prime Minister Modi's 2014 speech to the United Nations General Assembly. The video also includes a clip of Sushma Swaraj and Shripad Naik, which later shows several types of yoga and their poses.

"Yoga has gained tremendous popularity over the last several years all around the world. Yoga is practised by people from all walks of life, including leaders, CEOs, athletes, and actors, who talk about how it has benefited them "PM Modi shared the video on Twitter.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister urged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily practise, citing its numerous benefits.
