Law student sexual harassment: Karnataka police submit chargesheet against advocate

BANGALORE: Karnataka police have submitted a charge sheet against accused senior advocate KSN Rajesh, in connection with the sensational sexual harassment case filed against him by a law student, police said on Friday.

The investigative agencies have provided the Third JMFC Court with the charge sheet. On October 18, the accuser, K.S.N. Rajesh Bhat, was the subject of a sexual harassment complaint from the victim. For neglect of duty in connection with the case, the police department suspended two police officers, among them a female sub-inspector, and detained three people.

As the accused advocate fled and the police department had to take the heat for failing to apprehend him, the Intelligence Bureau (IB) had issued a lookout alert to every airport in the nation to stop him from fleeing to another country.

For more than two months, the police conducted a thorough search for the suspect and organised special teams to track him down.

Also, the police had informed the 12 bank accounts that the accused person was using to be frozen. Much later, the accused appeared before the local court in Mangaluru, Karnataka.
