Ghazipur: Tragic lightning strikes have resulted in the loss of four lives in separate incidents in Uttar Pradesh, a report read. These incidents occurred in the local area, specifically at Cheetnath Ghat along the banks of the Ganga River, where Naseeruddin, also known as Babu (55 years old), and Ikram Ansari (28 years old) were struck by lightning on Tuesday. In addition, lightning struck Suraj Rajbhar (10 years old) and Durga Devi (48 years old) in the Shadiabad area. In light of these unfortunate events, the district administration has announced financial assistance to the families of the victims in accordance with established norms. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted to provide necessary support to the affected families. On Tuesday, 4th July, lightning struck Azamgarh district in Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the loss of six lives and injuries to a child. The District Administration confirmed that five individuals were electrocuted in Barwa Sagar, falling under the jurisdiction of Mehnagar police station. Another incident claimed the life of one person in the Maharajganj area. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his heartfelt condolences for the lightning-related deaths in Azamgarh and Ghazipur districts. He announced a relief amount of Rs. 4 lakh to support the families of the deceased and instructed officials to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured individuals.
