Lily Collins Reacts to Emily Pari's comparision to 'Sex And The City'

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood Actress Lily Collins "loves" being compared to Sarah Jessica Parker on the Netflix show, 'Emily in Paris'.

Referring to reports of femalefirst.co.uk, the 33-year-old actress plays the lead character Emily in the Netflix hit about a driven marketing executive who moves from Chicago to Paris and claims that her role is similar to that of chic New York columnist Carrie Bradshaw, who was portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker, 57, in the cult 1990s series "Sex and the City" and its spinoff "And Just Like That," according to femalefirst.co.uk.

"That is one that I will always take with utter affection," Lily said to E! News. I adore Carrie Bradshaw so much. Sarah Jessica is wonderful. We both enjoy watching fashion shows, and they both honour the places where they are filmed, New York and Paris. The city and the fashion are characters unto themselves. With her lead part in the series, the "Les Miserables" actress recently disclosed she was motivated to deepen her awareness of "French culture."

Lily responded, "For me, I was delighted to ground myself more in the French culture, whether that be the language, the clothes, or just feeling a deeper sense of home inside the city. That was what I most appreciated about my character's journey throughout season three of the show. I was also happy to see that the show itself focuses more on the character comedy than Emily's experience as a fish out of water.

Knowing that the comedy was about more than just myself, my experiences, and the culture clash helped me, as Emily, feel a little more grounded as a character. It focused more on the humour that each actor contributes to their respective personas.
