Relaxation can be available in these zones in fourth phase of lockdown

The third phase of the nationwide lockdown, with the goal of reducing the pace of infection of the epidemic corona, ends on 17 May. There are clear indications that the lockdown will continue even after this. In his address to the nation on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the lockdown will not be completely removed. However, he also indicated more relaxation in the fourth phase.

According to officials regarding this matter, a decision can be taken to fully open the green zone in the fourth phase, which starts on Monday, 18 May. States are expected to get the right to fix hotspots in this phase. However, provisions like adhering to physical distance and applying masks will be mandatory for all. Before the guidelines were released, Home Minister Amit Shah held discussions with senior officials of the ministry for about five hours at his office in North Block on Friday.

In the next phase, there will be very few restrictions in the Orange Zone. In the red zone too, strictness will be kept in the containment area itself. Even salons, barber shops and eyeglass shops can be allowed to open in the Red Zone. However, detailed guidelines in this regard will be issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs based on the suggestions of the State Governments. The state governments were asked to give their suggestions by Friday.
