Gorakhpur: In order to avoid the rising COVID-19 cases in UP, there will be a lockdown again from 10 pm on Friday night to 5 pm on August 17. DM K. Vijayendra Pandian says that strict monitoring will be done. All offices, urban and rural haat, markets, Galla mandi and industrial establishments will remain closed. People should stay at home and will be allowed to go out in case of emergency.
For the common man, health-related, emergency, railway and airport travel will be allowed. However, they will have to keep a ticket with them. Departments related to administration, police, health and other essential services will remain open. Apart from this, all government-non-government departments will be closed.
There will be no restriction on the movement of people related to essential services, corona warriors, sanitation workers and people connected with doorstep delivery. They will have their ID card. In the areas of Cantt, Shahpur, Gorakhnath and Gulriha police stations, the Monday lockdown will end. CM Yogi Adityanath has also given instructions in this regard. Due to the lockdown, there will be no restriction on the movement of officers and employees related to the health department. People are urged to stay indoors and go out only in case of emergency.
