Kathmandu: Nepal's police has arrested Alfa Hussain Ansari, a large henchman of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Ansari has been arrested in the 15 kg gold smuggling case in Bara district. On giving information about the case, Parsa DSP Manjit Kunwar has said that he has arrested Ansari after receiving intelligence and at present he has been sent to Kathmandu for further questioning.
An Indian along with Ansari has also been arrested in this regard. According to sources, Alfa Ansari runs a smuggling of fake Indian notes for ISI in Nepal. Senior Superintendent of Police of Kathmandu Range Shyam Lal Gyawali said that two Indian nationals Nilesh Shakia and Sanjay Patel are the main accused in the 15 kg fake gold smuggling case. Ansari was the main dealer and provided him with help in Nepal.
Shakia was arrested a day earlier and Ansari was on the run. Now Ansari has also been caught. He has said that efforts are on to nab Patel. Gianwali said that these smugglers were plotting to reach India by placing a layer of gold on top of silver. This gold also had to go to Gujarat. There these people were going to sell it as pure gold. Initially, this matter came into controversy when these smugglers escaped by throwing bags full of gold. After this, the police formed a committee to investigate the entire case and arrested the accused.
