Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will secure another term, citing Lord Ram's desire for his "loyal devotee" to triumph. He made these remarks while addressing gatherings in Barabanki and Rae Bareli, where Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is contesting in the Lok Sabha elections. "Only those against Ram or from Pakistan oppose Modi ji," stated Adityanath at a public event in Rae Bareli. "I fail to comprehend Rahul Gandhi's ties with Pakistan. He resides in India, canvasses for votes in Rae Bareli, yet garners backing from Pakistan." He pointed out the striking resemblance between voices from Pakistan and those opposing Ram. "A Pakistani minister endorsed the Pulwama attack where soldiers were martyred... now, he's backing the Congress candidate from Rae Bareli," Adityanath added. Taking a swipe at Priyanka Gandhi, who questioned PM Modi's contributions to Rae Bareli in the past decade, Adityanath retorted, "What has Congress achieved in 65 years?" In Barabanki, he highlighted the inclusive benefits of development schemes under PM Modi's leadership, asserting, "Our revered Lord Ram desires his devoted follower to lead the nation again." Amidst the ongoing fourth phase of voting, Adityanath proclaimed the "Modi wave" has escalated into a "tsunami." Condemning Congress and Samajwadi Party, he accused them of a history of corruption. Adityanath emphasized the transformation witnessed under PM Modi's leadership, including free ration for 80 crore people and benefits for 12 crore farmers through Kisan Samman Nidhi. The voting for Barabanki and Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seats is slated for the fifth phase on May 20.
