'Mahakal Lok' Inauguration in Ujjain to be live-streamed in 40 countries

BHOPAL: The ceremonial opening of the recently constructed "Mahakal Lok" will take place on Tuesday in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh,  will be live-streamed to 40 different nations. At 6.30 p.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will announce the megaproject's first phase.

For the purpose of uniting Lord Shiva's followers, the Mahakal Lok ritual will be broadcast live in 40 different nations. All notable Shiva temples in Madhya Pradesh will be adorned with a large number of earthen lights.

The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Madhya Pradesh chapter has planned an elaborate event to make the occasion grand. The project in the holy city of Ujjain, which is anticipated to greatly increase tourism in the state, is an important component of the party's "cultural resurgence" platform, which aims to broaden the party's base of support in the state, the nation, and internationally in advance of the 2023 Assembly and then 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The state BJP president Vishnu Dutt Sharma said the party's NRI cell reached out to NRIs in 40 countries, including the US, the UK, the UAE, New Zealand, and Canada. "We communicated with Madhya Pradesh residents who were living in various nations. They were eager to participate in the event after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and I held a virtual conference with them. The number of nations on the list will eventually reach 50. The NRIs would organise special activities like lamp lighting to celebrate the occasion in addition to virtually attending "said Sharma.

Sharma added that as part of the BJP's efforts to expand its support, over 1,000 enormous screens will also be set up throughout the state to enable public observation of the event. To commemorate the occasion, the party workers have been urged to plan "Diwali-like celebrations" at the booth level.

Prime Minister Modi is expected to arrive in Indore from Ahmedabad at 4 p.m., and he would then go to Ujjain between 5 and 5.30 p.m., said state Home Minister Narottam Mishra. The Mahakaleshwar Temple will be visited by the Prime Minister, who will then perform his prayers there before opening the newly built portion of the temple.
