Father considered daughter a bad omen, did not give food for several days died of hunger

Mumbai: A sensational case of death of an 11-year-old girl from Jalgaon district of Maharashtra has come to light. The girl has died of hunger. Investigations revealed that before the death of the girl, Rehana, her father imprisoned her in the room for several days without giving her food and drink and later secretly buried her when she died. The whole matter is of Raza Colony. Rehana's uncle lodged a complaint with the police in this regard. According to media reports, the girl's uncle first suspected his brother and then went to the police station and informed about it. Police conducted an inquiry based on the complaint and found that Javed and his wife were absconding.

After their investigation, the police fished out the body of the girl from the ground in the presence of tehsildar and sent her for postmortem. The report revealed that the girl died of hunger. Police are on the lookout for the accused after the reality came to light. People in the vicinity cannot believe that such an incident took place in their neighbourhood. It may be mentioned that such atrocities have been committed against girls and women for a long time as bad omens. Just a few days ago, such an incident came to light from Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. There, a man named Faisal Iqbal had given triple talaq to his wife as a bad omen.

Police had said that the woman's husband used to assault her by calling her wretched and bad omens, which they also had a day-to-day dispute over it. According to police, the boy's mother had died at the time of nikah. That was why he called his wife wretched. The woman was also abused when she opposed it. Later, there were fights. Faisal divorced in anger on March 14.
