CM Fadnavis says, 'We will keep the post of Chief Minister'

Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has clarified that the BJP does not intend to give the Chief Minister's post to its ally Shiv Sena. On the condition after the Shiv Sena-BJP victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, CM Fadnavis said that this decision has to be taken by Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, as far as BJP is concerned, he has no objection to making Aditya Thackeray as Deputy Chief Minister. As far as the Chief Minister is concerned, it will remain with the BJP.

Fadnavis said that the previous expansion of his cabinet, he had consulted Shiv Sena for the post of deputy CM, then Shiv Sena refused to do so. Fadnavis praised Uddhav Thackeray's son Aditya and said that he was learning politics tricks very well. It is not necessary that Aditya should follow the decision taken by Balasaheb Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray not to enter active politics. They may come into active politics.

There is a united government of Shiv Sena and BJP in Maharashtra. Recently there was some tension reported on seats between the two parties. On this, Fadnavis said that we will contest in alliance with Shiv Sena. Seats have not been divided yet, there is talk of seat-sharing. Fadnavis said on the functioning of his government for 5 years that a lot of efforts were made to topple my government, but we continued to work positively.
