Maharashtra reports 12,608 new cases, 364 deaths in last 24 hours

Mumbai: The cases of corona infection in Maharashtra are increasing steadily. On Friday, 12,608 new cases of corona infection have been registered in the state. After which the total number of coronavirus cases in the state has increased to 5,72,734. The Health Department said that 364 more patients died due to corona infection during this period, increasing the number of dead to 19,427.

According to a bulletin issued by the Health Department, on Friday, 10,484 patients became healthy and were discharged from the hospital. Presently 1,51,555 patients are undergoing treatment in the state. The department said that so far 4,01,442 patients of corona infection in Maharashtra have been recovered and 30,45,085 people have been tested. On Friday, 3,025 new patients of corona infection have been found in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

118 patients died in MMR, including 47 deaths in Mumbai. A total of 2,81,994 cases have been registered in the area so far, out of which 11,319 patients have lost their lives. At the same time, 688 new cases of infection have been reported in Nashik city, 210 in Ahmednagar city, 1,192 in Pune city, 906 in Pimpri Chinchwad, 313 in Kolhapur, 206 in Sangli, 247 in Aurangabad and 615 in Nagpur.
