Baghpat: Nitin Dhakad, the main accused in the murder of former BJP president Sanjay Khokhar of Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested by the police on Friday. Baghpat police spokesman said that three accused have been arrested so far in the murder case of the BJP leader. According to the spokesperson, on receiving the secret information of the informer, the police station Chhaprauli and SOG team have arrested Dhakad near the temple in Halalpur village in a joint operation.
He said that with the possession of Dhakad, two live cartridges were found in a pistol 315 bore used in the crime. Two accused Mayank Dollar and Ankush Sharma have been arrested on the day of the incident and sent to jail. According to the spokesperson, the arrested accused told in interrogation that in 2018, District President Khokhar's son Akshay had a dispute with our colleagues, in which Vikas suffered very serious injuries. Due to this enmity, Khokhar was shot and killed.
On the morning of August 11, three unknown assailants opened fire on BJP leader Sanjay Khokhar when he went on a walk. A case was registered against Dhankad, Mayank, Vipin and Ankush in this connection and two or three unidentified people.
