Government issues guidelines for opening hotels, restaurants, and bars in Maharashtra

Mumbai: The number of coronavirus patients in the country has crossed 66 lakh, more than 1 lakh people have died so far. Meanwhile, the country is gradually opening up through unlock. The fifth phase of Unlock has been started in the country since October 1. In Unlock 5.0. hotels, restaurants, bars, and refreshment homes will open with 50 percent capacity in Maharashtra, the most affected state in the country by coronavirus.

The Maharashtra government has also issued corona pandemic guidelines for the same. As per the guideline, customers at the entry gate will be tested for symptoms like fever, cough, and colds, etc. The guidelines clearly state that it is mandatory to wear masks for the rest of the time except at mealtime. It will also be mandatory to follow the rules of social distancing while waiting for food to arrive.

Customers will have to share their information with the administration and health authorities for the purpose of detecting people who are in contact with the infected. Accordingly, the sanitizer will be provided and digital payments will be encouraged. There will be frequent cleaning of toilets and washing areas.
