Uddhav Thackeray government's statement on issuing lockdown orders in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Corona havoc in Maharashtra is increasing day by day. Meanwhile, there are reports of lockdown in the state once again. You may be aware that in view of the fast growing cases of the corona, Uddhav Thackeray government has imposed restrictions in some places of the state like night curfew and lockdown. In such a situation, recently, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has again given a big statement regarding the lockdown. Recently Uddhav Thackeray said, 'The government cannot easily take the decision of lockdown in the state. Any review of the lockdown will be taken only after reviewing the situation.'

With this, he added, 'Lockdown option cannot be easily adopted. However, we will have to take concrete decisions soon. We will review the situation in the next few days and take a decision. The second lockdown can be avoided only if the people of the state strictly follow the guidelines of corona.' The news infected cases reported in the state on Wednesday were 13,659 whereas the number of infected people has increased to 22,52,057 after new cases came to light. The health officer has confirmed the latest figures.

He said that 'After the death of 54 more patients the total number of dead has risen to 52,610.' Along with this, it has been seen that 13,395 cases of corona virus infection were reported in the state on October 8 last year and since then there has been a decline in daily cases of infection.
