Take permission before reading Hanuman Chalisa, no bhajans within 100 meters of Mosque - Maharashtra Police

Mumbai: The recitation of Hanuman Chalisa will not be held within 100 metres of mosques in Nashik, Maharashtra. Not only this, it will not be allowed even within 15 minutes before and after Azaan. Media reports have quoted Nashik Police Commissioner Deepak Pandey as saying in this regard. Pandey has said that approval has to be taken to play Hanuman Chalisa or bhajan. The purpose of the latest order is to maintain law and order.

He said all religious places have been directed to seek permission to use loudspeakers by May 3. After May 3, if anyone is found violating the order, legal action will be taken against the violators. The order has been issued in Nashik at a time when there is a controversy over the use of loudspeakers in mosques. According to the report, permission will now have to be taken before installing loudspeakers at all religious places in the state. State Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has called for the early issuance of guidelines on loudspeakers.

Patil said that the state DGP and Mumbai police commissioner will sit down and decide on the loudspeaker and decide the guideline. These guidelines will be issued in 1-2 days. "We have been monitoring the law and order situation in the state. Strict action will be taken against those who try to disturb peace in the state. '

Raj Thackeray's warning:-

Recently, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, while addressing a rally in Shivaji Park, demanded the removal of loudspeakers from mosques. He had warned that if the state government did not take any action on the issue by May 3, he would put up his loudspeakers outside the mosques and play the Hanuman Chalisa in a loud voice.
