New York: A United Nations postage stamp was issued in the name of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of India, at the United Nations Headquarters. It was inaugurated by other leaders including PM Modi. This stamp was released in a program titled 'Relevance of Mahatma Gandhi in the Contemporary World'. Prior to this program, Gandhi Solar Park was inaugurated at the United Nations Headquarters. In which many world leaders were present including PM Modi, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The policies and ideologies of Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela were based on the vision of Mahatma Gandhi. The Prime Minister said that Gandhi never tried to make an impact in his life but it became a source of inspiration. We are living in an era where 'how to influence' is prevalent but Gandhiji's vision was 'how to inspire'. On this occasion, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also expressed her views on Gandhiji.
