Ingredients for Khoya Modak: 2 cups of flour(maida), half kg Mawa, ghee as needed, 1 cup sugar, half teaspoon cardamom powder Ingredients for dried fruits Modak: 2 cups flour, 2 cups dry fruits, 1 cup of sugar, ghee as needed. Method : Modak is made in two ways. One mawa (khoya) and the other is of the dry fruit. Mawa Modak: Put a moyan in maida and rub it tight. Fry mawa and add sugar and cardamom powder according to the taste. Take a small portion of dough and roll it large. Put a spoonful of mawa filling in this and shape it like modak. Cook them in steam or deep fry them in ghee. Dry Fruit Modak: Finely chop cashews, almonds, pistachios and nuts to make mixture. Add a spoonful of ghee, chopped nuts, chironji, raisins and flavored sugar in the mixture. Fill a spoonful of mixture of dry fruit in the dough(make it round) and shape it like a modak.
