The Home Minister is displaying the wrong picture of the state. Minority Affairs and Madarsa Education Minister Gayasuddin Mullah have said, "This is not correct. There are 614 madrasas in Bengal, which are run by the Left Government."

He said no new seminary has been open for the past several years. At the time of our government, there is not a single new seminary open. Mullah has further said, "We are helping with their books, etc. But when they opposed it, we stopped that too."

The Minority Minister has said, "The Centre or the Home Ministry did not send us any such letter. These are all political issues and they are using them for their own benefit. In the Lok Sabha elections too, he has divided the people of Bengal between Hindus and Muslims."

In fact, according to a Home Ministry report, Jamaat Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) is recruiting terrorists using Madarsas in Burdwan and Murshidabad. JMB has been included in the list of terrorist organisations by the Modi government. Mullah further said, "The Central Government is trying to break Bengal. They want the NRC here also, but we will not tolerate it at all."
