Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath has said that the Bhopal-Indore Six Lane Green Expressway will be developed on the lines of the Adarsh Highway. He has also met CM Kamal Nath, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. An official statement issued by the state public relations department on Tuesday said that CM Kamal Nath met Union Surface Transport and National Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Monday to discuss issues related to the National Highway in detail.

Talking about the proposed Bhopal-Indore Six Lane Green Expressway in the state, CM Kamal Nath said that it will be developed as a major highway. It can be constructed by the NHAI or the State Government. "The proposed expressway will become an ideal highway with logistic parks, logistic hubs, smart cities and IT parks on both sides. Its construction will greatly facilitate people to commute to Bhopal-Indore-Bhopal and enhance commercial activities," he said.

CM Kamal Nath has launched the DPR of Bhopal-Indore Six Lane Green Field Expressway. He has requested for early allocation of Rs 5.38 crore for preparation. An official statement issued by CM Kamal Nath asked Union Minister Gadkari for Rs 1271 crore to develop a 232 km stretch of National Highways in the 2019-20 Annual Action Plan for the state.
