Kolkata: West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has filed a meeting with protesting junior doctors for the live telecast of the proposed meeting on Monday. This has paved the way for the week-long stalemate. Earlier, the state government had rejected the demand of striking doctors for live telecast of the meeting. Junior doctors from all over West Bengal are on strike to protest the attack on two of their colleagues working in the local NRS Medical College and Hospital. It is alleged that both junior doctors were fatally assaulted by the family members of a patient. That patient died during treatment last week. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee had formally invited junior doctors in Kolkata to hold talks on Monday. Pradeep Mitra, director of the Department of Medical Education, has said, "No, the media will not be allowed to come in. There is no mention in his letter.'
