Popular Bengali actress Manasi Sinha started the direction work of her latest film, Bhoot Team. In this film, she has cast her husband Sankha for the first time. Talking about her husband, Manasi said, “I met Sankha during one of our acting projects. We belong to the same theatre group but Sankha left acting soon. He later started his business. Now he is going to act in Bhoot Team after years. He is going to play my on-screen husband in this film".
When asked about working with the husband as director and actor, the actress said, "Her husband was not ready to do the film but after a lot of requests, he agreed. It feels great acting with him after a long time and directing him was very easy because he is an obedient actor." Her husband Sankha said, “I enjoyed shooting this film and I hope my performance met my director’s expectations.”
On the storyline of the film 'Bhoot Team', the Googly actress said, “It is a comedy film which also talks about the important issue of rash driving. This film is going to show the life of today’s generation. The story of the film is about a boy who lost his life due to rash driving and later saves the lives of many people as a ghost. The cast of the film include Shantilal Mukherjee, Debdut Ghosh, and others. I also play an important role in this film.”
Manashi is also going to direct 'Eta Amader Golpo' which features Aparajita Addhy and Saswata Chatterjee in the lead role. She said, "Two-three days of shooting is left and we are planning to do it in February. It is a matured love story of two individuals."
