New Delhi: It has been almost a month since farmers agitating against the agricultural laws brought by the central government were on the streets of Delhi. There was also a proposal from the government for fresh amendments, which were dismissed by the farmers. The farmers are demanding that the government should negotiate without any condition. The farmers are still demanding the cancellation of the three laws.

Meanwhile, the opposition led by former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi was gearing up to withdraw the protest on the issue of farmers today but they were not allowed. Reports suggest that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was preparing to march from Vijay Chowk to Rashtrapati Bhavan in support of farmers, but the administration did not allow him. However, three leaders including Rahul Gandhi will be able to go to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Not only that, section 144 has been imposed in New Delhi area and security has been beefed up near Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In a tweet, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has targeted the Modi government. Rahul wrote on his Twitter handle, "The farmers of India are agitating against anti-agricultural laws to avoid such a tragedy, in this Satyagraha, we all have to join the farmers' of the country."
