NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday urged southern states to focus on the 'Test-Track-Treat-Vaccinate and Adherence to Covid Appropriate Behaviour' plan, along with good case surveillance, which is critical for Covid management. N Rangaswamy, the Chief Minister of Puducherry, was also present during the meeting. It was recommended that states and UTs maintain a close eye on emerging clusters and hotspots. States that reported a lower percentage of RT-PCR in Covid testing were encouraged to look into it. They were assured that adequate and timely testing will aid in the rapid identification of infected cases and the prevention of a sudden increase. During the video engagement with the states, the Health Minister praised the amazing synergy between the Centre and the states, saying, "Mutual understanding, exchanging best practises, and collaborative spirit between the Centre and States have helped us in our battle against the epidemic."
