Mandaviya launches CGHS website linked with mobile app

New Delhi: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced on Monday that the revamped Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) website has been linked to the mobile app 'MyCGHS' to facilitate access to healthcare services for the scheme's more than 40 lakh beneficiaries.

no While launching the initiative, he stated that the new CGHS website and its extension as a mobile application called 'MyCGHS', which includes a variety of beneficiary-friendly features, were created to facilitate service delivery to beneficiaries from the comfort of his home, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The website has been designed to be 3U compliant - usable, user-centric, and universally accessible - and includes bilingual features in Hindi and English, with the option of adding additional languages in the future.

"The relaunch of the CGHS website in conjunction with the launch of a mobile app is a critical and timely step toward meeting India's growing digital penetration. The website has been updated with several new features that will significantly benefit more than 40 lakh beneficiaries, both active and retired, by providing real-time information from the comfort of their homes, the minister said.

According to him, such a facility will enable healthcare services to be delivered without venturing outside, and is a timely innovative step during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. This is a critical and timely step, made possible by India's growing digital penetration, he added.
