Kolkata: Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM had announced to contest elections in Bengal and Uttar Pradesh after winning 5 seats in Bihar assembly elections. This had increased the concern of TMC, Congress and Left parties governing Muslim votes, but on Monday, TMC broke into AIMIM's Bengal unit and broke many of its leaders. The leaders of AIMIM have come to TMC and expressed their faith in Mamta Banerjee and claimed that the results in Bengal will not be like Bihar. The Muslims of Bengal are completely with Mamata Banerjee. Dozens of AIMIM activists including AIMIM Anwar Pasa, Murshid Ahmed, Syed Rahman, Tariq Aziz, Sheikh Habibul joined TMC in the presence of TMC Minister Vratya Basu and Malay Ghatak at a press conference held at the TMC office in Tapasia on Monday. Anwar Pasa, who joined TMC from AIMIM, said that Owaisi Sahab had sought advice from those people about what they should do. He said that he instructs Owaisi Saheb not to come to Bengal. The Muslims of Bengal are in peace. The BJP is seeing its own benefit from his arrival, but the Muslims of Bengal are completely with Mamata Banerjee, as Mamata Banerjee is completely secular.
