New Delhi:- Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Friday announced new features for the platform's instant messaging app on WhatsApp. According to Meta CEO, users will be able to transfer chat histories between devices conveniently and securely. Currently, both devices must be running the same operating system for the transfer to take place. This new feature makes it easier and faster to transfer messages and large attachments from one device to another. In a post shared on his official Facebook account, Meta CEO Zuckerberg said, "If you want to move your WhatsApp chats to a new phone, you can now move them more privately without leaving your device. However, with the new process, users no longer need to exit the app on one device to transfer data to another phone. The data is only kept and secured between the two devices without going through an app or a third-party cloud service. To transfer via QR code, both devices must be physically connected to her WLAN and have location enabled.
