The Indian stock markets on Friday closed with an increase. The last day of the week was very relaxed for the investors. After which the stock markets closed for the third week in a row. The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index Sensex gained 0.50 per cent or 177.72 points to close at 36,021.42 on Friday. The Sensex opened at 36,025.38 points on Friday and it touched a maximum of 36,110.21 points during trading. At the time of closing the market, 19 stocks of 30-share Sensex were on green mark and 11 stocks were on red mark.

Apart from this, the index Nifty of the National Stock Exchange has also closed with an increase on the last trading day of the week. The Nifty closed at 10,607.35 with a gain of 0.53 per cent or 55.65 points on Friday. At the time of closing the market, out of 50 companies of Nifty, 31 stocks were on green mark, 18 companies were on red mark and one company was without any change.

If we talk about sectoral indices, on the last trading day of the week on Friday, 5 of the 11 sectoral indices were on the green mark and the remaining 6 indices were on the green mark when the market closed. On Friday, Nifty Realty gained 1.02 percent, 0.20 percent in Nifty Pharma, 1.08 percent in Nifty IT, 0.70 percent in Nifty FMCG and 0.93 percent in Nifty Auto. At the same time, the Nifty Private Bank declined 0.46 per cent, Nifty PSU Bank 0.94 percent, Nifty Metal 0.42 per cent, Nifty Bank 0.46 per cent and Nifty Media fell by 0.20 per cent.
