Mary Kom said this on quitting the awards committee

NEW DELHI: Mary Kom has given her response for the first time when she withdraws from the Dronacharya Award Selection Committee. He said the controversy arising out of his involvement has a negative impact on him. She also looked angry with it. The Olympic bronze medal holder, the athlete, recused himself from the Dronacharya Award Selection Committee meeting held for the selection process on Saturday. His coach, Chhotalal Yadav, was in the race for the award, denouncing Mary Kom's involvement in the selection panel.

The Boxing Federation had sent Yadav's name on the advice of Mary Kom. Asked about this, Mary Kom told reporters on the sidelines of an event organised by the All India Gaming Federation here that the controversy first arose and then questions are being asked. It is unfortunate. I was also the Chairman before (in the Award Selection Committee), this time also I was on the Selection Committee. The second time I was on the committee. Was there any controversy in those days at that time? I had also recommended a number of coaches, i don't know what happened this time.

Asked why you decided to withdraw from the Committee meeting. He said, of course, why not? If I stay, then it will be a 'double' problem. This will again create another problem. It's affecting me. I am recovering from it again and again. Anyone who is entitled to the Dronacharya Award should be chosen. Certainly, his contribution is important.
