Varanasi: A fast-track court in Varanasi has sentenced Maulana Jarjis to 10 years in jail for making objectionable comments on Muslim women's clothes. The victim is a resident of Jaitpura police station area. She had accused Maulana Jarjis of raping her for six and a half years on the pretext of marriage and later started threatening her. The woman said that Maulana had also made obscene videos of her during the rape and used to blackmail her on the basis of that. The woman said that Maulana Jarjis always used to come to Varanasi to deliver. During this time he used to stay in a hotel. It was during a speech that the woman came in contact with maulana in 2013. I met him several times after that. After this, whenever Maulana Jarjis came to Banaras, he used to call the woman to the hotel. According to the victim, she also used to go to the hotel due to the marriage. Maulana called the woman to the hotel several times and raped her and also made an obscene video of her. The woman said that after the video, whenever he came to Varanasi, he raped her by threatening to make the video viral. Not only this, on November 19, 2015, Maulana went to the woman's house and took her to a room and raped her. Fed up with his threats, the victim finally lodged a complaint against Maulana Jarjis at Jaitpura police station in December 2015.
