Shamshan ghat case: Mayawati demands 'Victims get compensation and convicts punished'

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has expressed grief over the death of a large number of people due to the roof collapse of a building at the crematorium in Muradnagar, Ghaziabad. He has demanded the Yogi Adityanath government of the state to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

BSP supremo Mayawati tweeted that, "The incident of the death of two dozen people after the roof of a building collapsed at the crematorium ghat in Muradnagar in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district is extremely painful and painful. Condolences to the afflicted family. God Give me the strength to bear this sorrow. " He said, "The Uttar Pradesh government should get the incident investigated properly and in time. The culprits should be punished severely and the victim's family should be given appropriate financial help."

On Sunday the crematorium in Muradnagar fell on the people who had gathered during the last rites. 25 people lost their lives in the debris of the letter, while 17 are said to be injured. All people had reached the crematorium to attend the funeral of a person. The accident took place in Ukhalarsi in Muradnagar.
