MDMA drug case: Woman among 8 youths held in Kerala

KOCHI: Kerala Excise and Customs authorities apprehended four teenagers from a hotel close here after they were found in possession of the psychoactive chemical Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).

In total, the arrested were found with 55 grammes of MDMA, 30 grammes of which were seized in their vehicle and 25 grammes in their hotel room.

After apprehending them, the team waited at the hotel until early Tuesday morning, when they apprehended four more people, including a woman who had come to acquire the drug from the first team. Questioning was underway, according to a probe officer, and the MDMA was brought in from Bengaluru for sale here.

"Three vehicles and three cellphones have been seized. The MDMA was allegedly obtained by the first team from a Nigerian national in Bengaluru "The official stated.
