Meghalaya's govt has no intention of stopping illegal coal mining: Says Mukul Sangma

Mukul Sangma, the TMC's leader in Meghalaya, has slammed state's Conrad Sangma-led govt for allegedly neglecting to take action against illegal coal mining.

Mukul Sangma stated that massive illegal coal mining continues without any hindrance in Meghalaya, particularly in the South Garo Hills area. After a surprise visit to the Eraaning coal dumping site in the South Garo Hills area, Mukul Sangma made this remark

"I have found proof of unlawful coal extraction and transportation, The NPP-led Meghalaya government,, has turned a blind eye to illegal coal mining." Sangma stated. "This administration has no intention of putting an end to these illegalities (unlawful coal mining)," Mukul Sangma continued.
