She plays the role of a nursing graduate, working part time in a fast-food outlet to support her father financially. She is also taking English lessons so she could secure a job in Canada . She gets stuck in a freezer, her phone is ringing. Her father (Manoj Pahwa) continues to call her but when she does not answer, he even files a missing complaint. The story is all about how Mili is struck in the freezer and fighting for her life. Review Janhvi Kapoor’s acting is good, Her performance is admirable although when she is stuck in a freezer there’s no scene that leaves you jaw-dropped or gives you goosebumps. So it is less effective. There is a good bond between father and daughter. Manoj Pahwa acting is also good and even with less screen time Sunny Kaushal is also amazing. But even after good performance, you find something missing and that is a lack of effective presentation of story. Some time you may feel the unnecessary drag or stretch in the film. Speaking about Mili, It is directed by Mathukutty Xavier, Mili is the Hindi remake of the filmmaker's 2019 Malayalam hit Helen. Said to be based on true events, the film traces the struggles of Janhvi as Mili, who races against time to stay alive inside a freezer. According to the actor, a special freezer was built by the film’s team, where they shot for 20 days at minus 15 degrees Celsius temperature.
