Hyderabad: Union Home Minister G. Kishan Reddy wrote to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. In this letter, he demanded that the Indian Railways release dues for running MMTS train services.

The total cost of the MMTS project is Rs 816.55 crore, the central and state governments have agreed. Kishan Reddy said, "The state government has agreed to give Rs 44.36 crore to Indian Railways. Rs 129 crore has been released so far.

The South Central Railway has spent more than its share and if the state government does not issue dues, there is no possibility of running MMTS trains in Hyderabad," the Union Minister said.
