The dispute between the Punjab Chief Secretary and some cabinet ministers over the excise policy finally ended in the state cabinet meeting on Wednesday. When Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh also reached the cabinet meeting on Wednesday afternoon, many speculations started about his presence. Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal told reporters after the meeting that the Chief Secretary had appeared in the meeting and he apologized to the entire cabinet.
