New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi has once again attacked the centre on the issue of migrant workers. Sonia Gandhi has requested the Modi government to open the treasury for the workers. Sonia Gandhi also demanded to give 7500 rupees every month for 6 months to each family.

Sonia Gandhi has said that, due to Coronavirus in the last two months, the whole country is going through a serious economic crisis. For the first time after independence, everyone saw the pain that millions of workers were forced to walk thousands of kilometres barefoot hungry and thirsty to go home. Sonia Gandhi further said that "Many people lost their jobs and millions of businesses have stopped, farmers have had to wander to sell crops. The whole country has suffered this pain, but perhaps the government did not realize it. From the very first day, every Congressman, economist and every section of society said that it is time to go ahead and heal the wounds."

Attacking the Modi government, Sonia has said, "Why is the government refusing to help every section, including farmers and labourers, so the Congressmen have decided to launch a social campaign to raise the voice of India. We request the central government to help the needy using Government treasure".
