Lucknow: After the case of Hathras gang rape in Uttar Pradesh and now rape of a Dalit minor girl in Pratapgarh has come to light. In this case, the police has taken immediate action and arrested the accused. According to the police, the accused carried out the incident when the girl was alone in her home. Police informed about the rape incident on Tuesday. According to media reports, the incident happened on Sunday. Police said the 17-year-old girl was sleeping in her home that night. The accused entered the girl's room through the roof and then raped her. According to police, the accused has been identified as Chandrakesh Verma. Police informed that the girl was alone in her home at the time of the incident. The accused took advantage of this and carried out the shameful incident. The local police official informed that the mother of the victim had filed a written complaint in the police station on Monday. On the basis of that, FIR was lodged under the relevant sections of IPC and thereafter the accused was arrested. Now the police is investigating the entire matter. The girl is being medically treated.
