Mob in Karnataka thrashed a man on suspicion of lifting his own child

Mandya (Karnataka), July 19: Mob lynching incidents are getting common in India due to the threats that have touched the mindsets of the public. After various violent case on Thursday, a case emerged where a father was thrashed by a mob for child lifting of his own son.

A divorcee who reached Mandya district of Karnataka to meet his son and asked him to come with him. When the child refused to go ahead with father’s plea the people around thought that the victim is assaulting the child and termed him as a child lifter which later results in the mob lynching.

On July 13, Bidar district of Karnataka, only one man was beaten to death and other two left severely injured as a mob thought them as child-traffickers.

The matter is getting violent and earlier on Thursday Rajnath Singh, the Home Minister state that rumors and social media is playing a major role in such crimes and informed that government notifies social sites to set required regulation to stop such brutality. “These are unfortunate incidents. We had issued an advisory on this recently, and one in 2016 also. Social media being used to spread fake news and rumors is also a reason. We have asked social sites for regulation,” ANI quoted Singh’s words.
