Another incident of lynching in Bengal

Kolkata: Mob Lynching is one of the most horrific events of the current era. The cases of mob violence is increasing all over the country. The latest incident took place at Alipurdwar in West Bengal where a man was brutally beaten by a mob on Sunday as a child thief.

On Monday, police reported that a man was found wandering around the area by some people near T Garden on Sunday evening. People suspected that the man was walking around the area with a wrong motive. About 250 locals gathered together and killed the man.

The police officer said that the Man was in a critical condition when she rescued her from the crowd. He was admitted to Birpara Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. DSP Nagendra Nath Tripathi said that 17 persons have been arrested in the case which will be produced before the court on Monday. The matter is under investigation. A week before this incident, two incidents of mob violence have taken place in different parts of the district.
