New Delhi: Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers in the Modi government of the Center, has announced the opening of new Jan Aushadhi Kendra at the block level on Friday. At present, there are 7,326 Jan Aushadhi Centers in India. With the opening of new Jan Aushadhi Kendra at the block level, people will be able to easily provide generic medicines. Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya has announced that with the announcement of the opening of new Jan Aushadhi Kendra, about 2.5 million people are benefiting from these drug centres. The government wants to benefit a large population by this scheme by opening new drug centres. More than 700 quality medicines are being provided in these medicine centres and more than 140 surgical instruments are being provided to the people at affordable prices from the market. So far, Jan Aushadhi centres were being opened at the district level itself. Announcing on Friday, Minister of State Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya said that now the government is going to start Jan Aushadhi Kendra at the block level. The government has taken this step with the objective of making generic medicines available to as many people as possible.
