Modi Government issues new guidelines for Safety of bike riders

New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has changed several rules keeping safety in mind. Some new rules have also been made. The ministry's new guidelines are for people riding bikes. According to the guidelines of the ministry, there should be handhold on both sides of the bike.

Its direct purpose is the safety of the people sitting back. Till now most bikes did not have this facility. Along with this, it has been made mandatory on both sides for the person sitting on the back of the bike. At least half of the left part of the rear tire of the bike will be covered securely so that the clothes of the rear seaters do not get tangled in the rear tire.

The ministry has also issued guidelines for putting lighter containers in the bike. The length of this container will be 550 mm, width 510 ml and height shall not exceed 500 mm. If the container is replaced by the previous ride, only the driver will be allowed to ride the bike. Meaning no other person will be able to sit on the bike. If the person is placed behind the location of the previous ride, the other person will be allowed to sit on the bike. The government will change these rules from time to time.
