Modi government will celebrate 125th birthday of 'Netaji', committee formed

Kolkata: In view of the politics of Bengal, this time Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is going to be very important for all parties. On January 23 this year, the 125th birthday of Netaji will be celebrated across the country. But the BJP-led central government is preparing to make it a grand event, so a high-level committee has been formed under the leadership of PM Modi to outline the grand celebration of the 125th birthday of the leader, Subhash Chandra Bose. A gazette notification regarding this committee formed under the leadership of PM Modi has been issued on Saturday. This high-powered committee will take a decision on the events to be celebrated across the country on the occasion of the 125th birthday of leader Subhas Chandra Bose, which is to begin from 23 January 2021. The committee consists of 85 members, including Union Ministers, some Members of Parliament from Bengal, CMs of some states, historians, and other distinguished citizens.

Prominent among them are Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Apart from these, Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary have also been included in the committee.
