Modi is definitely a Swayamsevak, but RSS doesn't use 'remote control': Bhagwat

Jabalpur: Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat has given a very important statement regarding PM Narendra Modi. Bhagwat said on Saturday that PM Modi has been a Swayamsevak of the Sangh, but the Sangh does not control any person or organization, which is working independently. Bhagwat further said that the Sangh does not use direct control or remote control. Mohan Bhagwat said this while talking to people in Jabalpur.

He further said that when someone talks about Sangh, people also think of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and there are volunteers in that organization too and their thinking is also similar. Bhagwat said, 'After saying Sangh, people take the name of Modi Ji. Modi Ji is our Swayamsevak. After saying Sangh, you see VHP. There are Swayamsevaks in VHP also and their thoughts and values are similar to Swayamsevaks, but all these are independent and separate works done by Swayamsevaks. This is not a union.'

The Sangh chief has said that RSS has separate and independent work. Swayamsevak is everywhere, so there is a connection, which helps in good deeds. However, RSS does not have direct or indirect control over them. Mohan Bhagwat said that Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life. It is a tradition that has been cherished by different creeds, castes, and regions.
