Islamabad: The Green Town area of Nishtar tehsil of Lahore city in Pakistan, where people from the Christian community live. It was here that a Muslim youth named Mohammed Bilal Salim climbed the 'cross' on the roof of a church. After climbing the cross, he used an Islamic slogan threatening the local public. He was accompanied by two others, who also made lewd gestures to Christian girls, insulting Christian people. The video of the incident is also rapidly going viral. It can be seen that Mohammed Bilal Salim went from inside a factory to the terrace and from there went to the roof of the church next door and climbed on the cross located on the iron angle there. After this, from there he started shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and other religious slogans. Twitter user Arju Kazmi, a Pakistani journalist, tweeted the video tweeting, "A Muslim fanatic climbed the roof of the church and started reading Islamic verses from there. He attempted to terrorize the local community by breaking the cross. And Prime Minister Imran Khan is talking about Islamophobia. Although it is not yet clear when it was the incident, some reports describe it as a recent incident.'' However, seeing this uproar, a crowd of Christians gathered there. One of them reported the matter to the police. Later, some people from the church pulled the young man down from the cross and helped him. Reports suggest that Muhammad Bilal works in a window grill-making factory located near the Green Town area. Bilal has been booked on charges of blasphemy under Sections 295 and 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code. However, even after the involvement of his associates in the abuse and sabotage, no action has been taken against Bilal's associates.
