Monsoon session ended two days ago, Lok Sabha pass OBC Bill now

New Delhi: The Lok Sabha has been adjourned sine die today i.e. This means that the Lok Sabha will no longer run in this monsoon session. In this way, the monsoon session of the Lok Sabha has ended two days ago. The date for the monsoon session was fixed from 19th July to 13th August, but the Lok Sabha has been adjourned two days ago. Moreover, the government is also set to adjourn the Upper House till the next session after the Rajya Sabha passed the bill on the OBC reservation.

Birla said that due to disruption, work could not be done for about 74 hours in 96 hours. Om Birla further said, "Due to continuous disruption, only 22 percent of the work was done. He said a total of 20 Bills including the Constitution (127th Amendment) Bill were passed during the session. Four new members were sworn in. Birla informed that during the monsoon session, 66 starred questions were answered orally and members raised 331 cases under Rule 377.
