Ludhiana: The infection of coronavirus is spreading rapidly among children as schools open in Punjab. 20 students have been found infected with a corona in two government schools in Ludhiana. The entire district administration has been rocked after children were found corona positive in government schools. State that the Punjab government has directed to open all schools from Class 10th to 12th and 2nd August from July 26.

This has been followed by corona testing in schools every day by the Chief Secretary of Punjab. The continued infected children have added to the woes of education authorities and now speculations are rife that schools will be closed again in view of the third wave. Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner VK Sharma said that 20 children have been found corona positive in 2 schools in Ludhiana in Punjab. Other students are being prepared to be examined after coming to the report. Students found infected have been kept in the dispersal.

The total number of infected people in Punjab increased to 5,99,514 after 32 new cases of corona infection were reported on Monday. While 4 patients died. With this, the death toll from the epidemic has reached 16,320.
