The Indian weather department has issued a heavy rain alert for many parts of India. Meanwhile, there are torrential rains in the capital and its surrounding areas. India Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and North India today. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains are expected at different places in Bharatpur, Dhaulpur, Karauli, Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Baran, Jhalawar, Kota districts and adjoining areas of Rajasthan. The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in central and north India in the next four days. On the other hand, the rivers in Udhampur cities of Jammu and Kashmir are in spate, because the region has been experiencing heavy rains for the last few days. The incessant rains have caused havoc in various panchayats and blocks of Udhampur such as Ghori block and Riti Panchayat. Sarpanch Riti told Girdhari Lal Padha that "I request people not to go close to the rivers and stay indoors. We do not know when the water level will go down. For the last two-three days, it has been raining continuously in this area." The incessant rains have also affected the Jammu region. Residents of the area complain that due to heavy rains, the prices of vegetables have increased, which is causing them difficulty.
