Kochi: Monsoon is all set to hit Kerala tomorrow. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday that the southwest monsoon is likely to enter Kerala on June 3 after missing the normal start date and the conditions for the same have matured. Earlier, the possibility of monsoon in Kerala was predicted on 31st June. The Met department said that rainfall distribution in Kerala has increased and westerly winds have been strengthened in the low levels of south Arabian Sea. According to satellite imagery, the Kerala coast and adjoining south-east Arabian Sea are cloudy. the IMD has predicted favourable conditions for further increase in rainfall activity in Kerala during the next 24 hours. Therefore, monsoon will start in Kerala during the same period. This means that kerala will receive monsoon rainfall on 3rd June. Let us tell you that the normal date of arrival of Monsoon in Kerala was 1st June. But IMD had predicted that the monsoon would come with a four-day back-and-forth gap in Kerala on May 31.
