New Delhi: From a 48-year-old nurse from Loknayak Jayaprakash Hospital (LNJP) to AIIMS sweepers, more than 4,300 health workers were given the first dose of covid-19 vaccine on Saturday. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that on the first day, the corona vaccination campaign was successfully run. Along with Satyendra Jain and Chief Secretary Vijay Dev, CM Arvind Kejriwal reached the vaccination center at Loknayak Jayaprakash Hospital in Delhi. Satyendra Jain told the press that India has set less space for biotech's 'covaxin' vaccine, as its dose is less available than Oxford's Covid vaccine' covishield. "Today, 4,313 health workers were vaccinated," Jain said, adding that "vaccination campaign was conducted successfully on the first day." In a tweet, the Health Minister wrote, "Reviewed the vaccination drive at LNJP Hospital with Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Our front workers took the first dose of the vaccine. I admire his immense effort and dedication. Hats off to the scientists for their tireless efforts." On Saturday, 1 lakh 91 thousand 181 people were vaccinated against the corona vaccine in the country on the first day. 3351 vaccination centers were set up across the country. The Union Health Ministry has informed that no case of hospitalization has been reported after the vaccine was reported so far.
